Educadora, protetora, saudável. Uma cidade feita de pertencimento

Resumo

Tendo em vista que se sonha com uma cidade saudável, educadora e protetora, o artigo faz uma reflexão a partir da ideia de Cidade Protetora, por entender que a proteção social, em seu significado mais denso, refere-se a garantias de seguranças: qualidade de vida, pertencimento e inclusão social. Por isso o texto engloba os demais conceitos de Cidade Educadora e Cidade Saudável. Os enunciados “cidade saudável, educadora, protetora” traduzem valores que indicam direção e princípios da vida coletiva na cidade. Destaca a necessidade de buscar uma cidade protetora de todos, competente para articular políticas públicas de distribuição da riqueza. A alma da cidade se expressa por valores que guiam a distribuição e o usufruto da riqueza coletiva. Portanto, é preciso refletir sobre os valores que expressam a consciência coletiva de seus habitantes, isto é, discutir os valores que movem os esforços de todos na produção diária da cidade. Por fim, reforça que há uma demanda constante pela construção e pelo anúncio de sentidos para a ação pública: busca da verdade, do bem, do belo, da moral e da ética. O que menos se reivindica hoje são as ações ancoradas na falsa ética da imparcialidade e neutralidade

Abstract

Keeping in mind that a healthy, educating and protective city is a dream, this paper reflects on the idea of a Protective City, with the understanding that social protection, in its densest meaning, regards guarantees of security: quality of life, belonging and social inclusion. That is why the text includes other Educating City and Healthy City concepts. The phrase "healthy, educating, protective city" translates values that indicate collective living principals and direction in the city. The need to find a protective city for all, capable of articulating public policies for distribution of wealth is underscored. The soul of the city is expressed by values that orient distribution and the enjoyment of collective wealth. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on the values that express the collective consciousness of its inhabitants; in other words, discussing the values that drive everyone's efforts in daily production in the city. Finally, it reinforces that there is a constant demand for building and disclosure of directions for public action: looking for truth, the good, the beautiful, the moral and the ethical. What is least in demand today are actions anchored in the false ethics of impartiality and neutrality.
